"La Cava" is the simplest but at the same time dynamic and emotionally rich excursion among our proposals. Starting from Madesimo at an altitude of 1550 m, we walk the first section of our route on an exclusive, perfectly snow-covered track, marked and groomed daily by our snowcats. The track winds its way through an enchanting landscape, initially through an atmospheric fir and larch forest, and then climbs in altitude between slopes and ups and downs to 2110 m on an immaculate track surrounded by nature. We stop to admire the first "postcard" of our peaks: a strategic point offering to the south the Valchiavenna with Madesimo in the foreground, to the west the Ferrè glacier dominating the Montespluga lake, to the north the remains of an old green beola quarry and to the east the Bertacchi refuge. A few photos, a couple of chats and we're back on the snowmobile, ready to head home ... In the event of bad weather or unsuitable conditions to keep the excursion safe, it will be up to us to decide whether to cancel or postpone the booked excursion even on the same day.
